"Take aim": My published short story
Your comments!
Thank you. Thank you so much for reading my story, “Take aim”; for taking time to tell me, in whatever way, how it made you feel. “Beautiful” was the word most often repeated, and how humbling, how apt, because beauty is what I strive for in my writing; and beauty is what inspires me to write in the first place.
These moments are precious, and as I said in one of my substack articles, this is because, unlike my job, where I am frequently reminded of my value, “I work at writing on my own, and so it is harder to be affirmed, validated, until my words make their way into the world.”
So thank you for interacting with my words, and if you haven’t and would like to, my story, published in Litro magazine, is linked here: Take aim
If you would like to read another one of my published short stories, here is “Tough love” which was published in AFREADA: Tough love
Big love,
Ehae xx

I finally got around to reading your piece, Ehae. It’s wonderful! I was so eager to see how it unfolded (amidst the setting of the Paris Olympics of all things!), and it’s so interesting that two people can have such different experiences of a time or period spent together. Tender and beautifully written - a treat to read! Congratulations on the publication!
